The Marketing Forum was delighted to be joined by one of the UK’s leading designers, Richard Stevens for an event at the beautiful Exchange Gallery in Penzance.
Richard’s career has included working with iconic brands around the world as a founding partner of creative agency forpeople (described as the biggest agency in London that no-one has ever heard of) and helping define the future of one of the world’s leading airlines as Creative Director of British Airways.
We enjoyed a late-afternoon aperitif of cakes, coffee, frittata, ciabatta and, of course, prosecco before our live interview and presentation with Richard. We talked about the influence on his career and character of his Isles of Scilly upbringing and how it left him free as a designer. We also talked about projects for some of the incredible brands he’s worked for, such as Aston Martin, British Airways, The Coca-Cola Company, Herman Miller.
“Nothing is ever designed in isolation. Every aspect of each project has to be approached holistically, from the users perspective; as part of the total experience.”
